Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Accredited In-House Anti-Piracy Training (APT) and In-House Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS)

In-House Anti-Piracy Training

On the 9th of February 2010, Noah Global Maritime was accredited by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) for the In-House Anti-Piracy Training. Since then, we have been conducting said training for all our seafarers prior their deployment.

In said training, we provide our seafarers general information about piracy and guidance and best industry practices for vessels passing through the Gulf of Aden, as well as known pirate infested areas. We train them on how to avoid, react and cope with or survive piracy situations so that they will have sufficient knowledge on Best Management Practices (BMP) in avoiding, deterring, delaying or surviving piracy attacks.

Pre-departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS)

Pursuant to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Memorandum of Instruction No. 013 series of 2013, Noah Global Maritime is a registered In-house Seabased PDOS Provider. All our seafarers are required to undergo said seminar according to the standards of OWWA prior their deployment.

PDOS is a means for the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) to learn and successfully adjust to their new environment, understand fully their work contract, know more about the programs and services for OFWs, and review travel tips and airport procedures.
